Natasha & Nathaniel Taylor
Seeing people hurt as a result of unaddressed trauma, motivated Natasha to help people heal through their pain. Natasha’s mother was diagnosed with bi-polar disorder. She lived with someone that experienced ups and downs in her struggle to maintain mental health appointments and medication management. She watched her mother be in denial of her mental health challenges, which drove her to pursue a degree in Applied Psychology and further her education in a Masters in Social Work.
Natasha started her career as a tutor supporting developmentally disabled adults, foster care youth and is now a licensed social worker school based psychotherapist. Prior to the pandemic she spends most of her day on site in a Baltimore City Public School, Elementary/Middle School which has declined in academic achievement over the past few years. However, with the leadership of the school and tenacity of onsite resources, Mrs. Taylor has been able to coordinate community based services for students and their families, while providing individual therapy, group therapy, mediation and family therapy. She is able to provide support for teachers, staff and students especially when there is an incident at the school.
